“The Red Crooked Sky dancers were a definite highlight of the
Fall Festival of Folklife. Their performances attracted large crowds
at the Heritage Dance Stage and greatly enhanced the atmosphere and
programming of the event. Their energy, colorful attire, and friendly
personalities captivated those watching. Everyone loved the audience
participation! The Red Crooked Sky Dancers were a welcome addition to
the Fall Festival and we look forward to having them back again.”

of the American Indian Culture! Anyone could see that the dancers were
very passionate about their culture and that we felt like we were part
of them”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Red
Crooked Sky and found them to be both professional and entertaining.
They are full of energy and a JOY to watch…Don’t
miss them!” Jeff

“ Red Crooked Sky was a hit!” Several people said how much
they enjoyed the program sessions. The troupe enthusiastically embraced
the spectators. What was especially interesting was the explanation
of the cultural significance of each dance prior to them being performed.
They were a fan favorite!”
Ben Jennings/Virginia Highland Festival
"The performance by Red Crooked Sky in October 2004 at Salisbury
University was a first for our campus in terms of presenting Native
American cultural traditions through dance. The authentic dancing, magnificent
regalia, informative commentary, and Snake Dance participation invited
our audience to experience and in turn better understand the Native
American tradition. As a result, the program was well-received and much
talked about. We thank you!"
